Honoring Our Veterans

Posted Date: 11/11/25 (7:23 AM)

Today, the Soledad Unified School District proudly honors the brave men and women who have served our nation in the Armed Forces. On Monday, we held a Veterans Day Ceremony at Soledad High School, featuring the Soledad High School NJROTC, the Soledad Aztec Band, and representatives from the American Legion and Soledad Historical Society. We are deeply grateful to the veterans who joined us and to all those who have dedicated their lives to protecting our freedoms.

On this Veterans Day, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to every veteran in our Soledad community and across the country. Your service, courage, and sacrifice inspire our students and remind us of the values that unite us.

We recognize Soledad USD Team members who are veterans including (but not limited to):

  • Trustee Chris Bourke

  • Ms Erica Heredia

  • Mr. Nathan Walker

  • Captain Pedro Gomez

  • Mr. Rodney Starr

  • Chief Ron Dunn

Thank you for your service and for showing us the true meaning of honor and patriotism.

Randy Bangs, Superintendent
Soledad Unified School District
